After receiving her M.F.A. in Acting in 1981, Becky began narrating Talking Books for the Blind through the Library of Congress, narrating over 70 titles in two years. She quickly became one of their most popular narrators. As a professional stage actress, she has toured internationally, as well as on the east and west U.S. coasts. Becky brings her broad range of theatre skills – acting, directing, producing, marketing – to bear in all her production work. The mother of three wonderful daughters who are also her best friends and colleagues, Becky lives in Beaverton, OR, and enjoys dancing, kayaking, biking, hiking, music, inventing, playing games, and all things creative.

Her prize-winning novels have been translated into ten languages; her essays and poems have appeared in Elle, the Forward, the NY Times Magazine, and numerous anthologies. Based in Berkeley, CA, she leads writing workshops internationally.

Tessa Hillman taught yoga for 30 years. Finding the philosophy aspects hard to teach, she developed simple stories that helped her to convey many tricky subjects such as non violence, truth and greed to her classes, for adults and young people. Now retired and living in Cornwall, she continues writing, gardening and enjoying the country side with her husband and two dogs.
